Depending on what subjects you are best in, will change which month is more or less difficult. I took the SATs in the spring and in the fall and personally, I thought the fall was more difficult. It also depends on if you have covered the subject matter in school before the exam, obviously more time in school means more opportunities for you to be taught the material. The SATs aren’t hard at all if you properly prepare for them.

I wouldn’t bog yourself down on figuring out when to take the SAT. Besides, the college board will curve scores (up or down) based on the difficulty of the test (basically how well people do on one test compared to another). For example, If you got one question wrong on the Math portion of the SAT, your score could be 790 one month or 750 another. It all depends on the difficulty.
