The Best Way to Score High on the Sat and Act
There are so many options out there for scoring high on the SAT and making your college dream come true. But which one’s the best one?
Clearly that’s a vague question, but the answer is more than clear: the established, and reliable, Kaplan Tutoring.
Having been a tutor for Kaplan Premier myself (and having nothing to gain by promoting it :)), I can say that tutoring really is the best way to go. Classes may be cheaper, but they force you to learn at a higher or lower level of learning than fits you. You’re either surrounded by people who learn much faster than you…or much slower than you. And believe me, rushing to classes, when you’ve got a million other things to do your junior and senior years, is NOT fun.
But studies show that students who get private tutoring, no surprise, see a much bigger jump in their SAT scores than classroom-taught students. It’s no surprise, really. Compare personalized service, scheduled around your needs and your busy timetable, to rushing 3 nights a week to classes you don’t have time for, or reading out of a boring SAT book you don’t have the patience for. Really, it’s no comparison.
Kaplan tutoring sessions last only 1.5 or 2 hours, rather than the long and boring 3 hours of a typical SAT class. And you can chart your progress, and get the specific kind of tutor you want, rather than seeing no discernible progress and being stuck with a teacher who doesn’t work for you.
One of the things I remember most as a tutor is wishing that MY parents had give me tutoring myself! Having tutored over 75 different students in the last 5 years, I can honestly say that high school students respond better to one-on-one service than they do to (yet another) SAT class, especially ones that occur on weeknights and weekends!
No student wants that. But, they DO want a quick, enjoyable, customized tutoring session that doesn’t take up much of their time at all, AND gives them better results. Who can argue with that?
Take it from me, having been an SAT tutor myself: check out Kaplan private tutoring today. Your son, or daughter, will thank you.
