Peri Witny asked:

Boston faced a well rested San Antonio Spurs at their homecourt, Banknorth Garden but were defeated by the oldest team in the NBA with a 105-99 basketball result. The Spurs scored 11 points in the last 40 seconds to win the game.

Roger Mason made a three pont field goal with 20.4 seconds remaining to give San Antonio the upperhand. Manu Ginobili then hit four free throws before Mason added a pair as the Spurs increased their distance from Boston. It was the Spurs’ ninth win in 11 games.

Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Seldom used Matt Bonner scored his second most output in scoring with 23 and went 3 of 6 from the three point area. Ginobili tallied 19 points as he came off the bench.

Kevin Garnett had 26 points and 12 rebounds while Paul Pierce had 19 points and eight rebounds. Ray Allen added 18 points while Rajon Rondo passed the ball around to tally 16 assists. With this loss, the Celtics have allowed their opponents to score 100 points or more in three straight games and in six of their last eight. It does mean that their opponents have increased their scoring averages to 99.1 for the last eight games and have improved their field goal shooting as well to 44.7. Boston coach Doc Rivers has to find away to bring back their tenacity in defense. The Celtics will then start a six game road trip in between the All Star weekend before heading back to Boston.

Spurs coach Greg Popovich rested his key starters when his team played the Denver Nuggets. Ginobili sat out that game with a bruised hip. Duncan, Michael Finley and Tony Parker were also rested as the team are into their eight game, three week road trip. So far they have posted a 2-1 record.

Duncan had the ball and made a basket and was fouled. He made the extra free throw and pushed the Spurs to a 90-87 lead. Ray Allen sank a field goal to cut the lead to one. Garnett hit consecutive jumpers during the Celtics’ ball possession for a 93-90 lead at 1;36 at the clock. Bonner then hit a jumper from the free throw line while Garnett missed his attempt. Mason then made his three pointer that restored the upperhand to the Spurs at 95-93. Boston turned the ball over during an inbounds play with Ginobili stealing the ball and fished a clear-path foul which resulted in two free throws and ball possession back to the Spurs. They extended the lead to 101-93 but Eddie House and Garnett refused to go down and made consecutive three point jumpers to reduce the lead to two. It became a free throw shooting time for the Spurs as the team sank four charities for the final scores.

What do I put as my SAT score when applying to college?

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009
Lily asked:

I took the SAT two times. My Writing score went up the second time, but my math score dropped. When I’m applying to college, can I put the higher score for both writing and math? Or can I only use the scores from ONE of the tests?
